consumption must sufficiently be decoupled from the environment,”
this is not true in a total recyling society (Mcdonough)
If the amount recycled is total, there is no additional burden on the environment. This could mean a tight couploing is not excluded. (tghre may well be other reasons why we much stop consumerist growth.
