Toward renewal

Economics [thoughts]ought to be about the economy [what is] and economy is the way society deals with just about everything. But economics stays limited while the actual economy shifts toward corporate feudalism, monopoly, and corruption. The sociology of relations and structures, the anthropology of needs and institutions, and the philosophy of the fit life for human beings are excluded from the conversation within economics. Because the economy is so central in society, these other considerations are unable to affect the broader conversation in society because that conversation hardly exists.

Thus we have an economics which has made itself powerless to critique or guide society at a crucial point in the in the history of the species.
