A false debate. It is unfortunate, one could say, that the identify groups are arriving for the party just as it is breaking up. The ability of this economy to absorb more participants is missing because the basic economy is in trouble.

We need to work on Identity equity and rethinking the economy all  at the same time. We need serious effort, not just on inclusion, but on what inclusion is trying to include people in. We need work on climate, population, income and asset inequality, and deepening education all at the same time. We need to rethink how to achieve the common good. Mere extension of consumerism is just not the right path.
