A short last provocation before we are all dispersed .

Christmas is an interesting time when we are forced, especially when thinking of what to get for children (not “what to give to children”) to rethink the gift economy and the consumer economy.

I wonder if we are moving toward an owner only economy? With very few short assignment “jobs” to earn. If you own you are paid in profit, if you don’t you can’t sell time in the automated economy and are marginalized or worse. Are the smart ones already thinking of ownership rather than career?
