A number of articles this week have played on the theme of how the leading owners of tech stocks made so much money in a just a few days. When increased wealth is based on increased sales which are based on increased population, why should the few benefit from the productive capacity of the many? Not only did the many breed and feed themselves but they paid taxes that too often developed the very technologies the tech leaders use to get even richer. Obviously no one can make $1 billion by themselves. It is made by having a relationship between the few with millions of people who made society, work for it and spend in it..
This is deeply unfair and the fact that such owners of capital do not call themselves on it indicates how corrupt our public dialogue has become. The bloat of the few and the skimpiness of the many are one system.
